Policies

FINANCIAL POLICY

At Eagle Harbor Dental, our office goal is to provide you and your family with optimal dental care without finances creating a major concern. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible at every visit. This includes understanding your treatment plan and your payment options. We also encourage you to ask questions and to be involved in treatment decisions.

 

INSURANCE PATIENTS

One of the many services that Eagle Harbor Dental provides for our patients is the courtesy of the submission and monitoring of your insurance claims to your carrier. Please present your insurance card or policy information at your initial appointment and anytime there are changes in your policy. We will also ask you to update your insurance information on an annual basis so that we may have the most accurate information on file.

 

​For patients with dental insurance, as a courtesy we can offer deferred payments with no interest for their portion . Please contact us for more details or questions.

 

Please keep in mind that the dental insurance contract is an agreement between the patient and the insurance carrier. We recommend that you be familiar with your policy. Maximums, deductibles, benefits and exclusions can change from year to year even when the carrier and employer remain the same.We will submit a pre-determination of benefits to your insurance company at your request, though that may postpone treatment as the process takes up to three weeks. Benefits used in another office (such as a specialist) will affect the amount available for your use at our office.

 

We allow sixty days for your insurance company to make payment on your claim. Most companies pay their portion in a timely manner, however, if there is a delay in their reimbursement, we will ask you to pay the outstanding balance or set up an in-house payment plan.

 

Providing us with your insurance we will give you ahead of time the necessary information of your coverage.

 

NON-INSURANCE PATIENTS

Patients are expected to pay for our services at the time they are rendered. However, Seniors (age 60+) who pay in full with cash or check at the time of treatment are offered a 7% discount. All other patients paying in full with cash or check at the time of treatment are offered a 5% discount.

 

​Dental Value patients at Eagle Harbor Dental will receive a 20% discount plus up to 60% off of their first visit* (for more information visit Dental Value). *Dental Value patients are not eligible to receive senior and/or cash discounts.

 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for your convenience. We also offer payment plans through CareCredit so that payments may be spread out over a period of time without interest.

 

We proudly accept the CareCredit credit card to help you finance your healthcare needs. Now you can Pay your bill with Care Credit (Link at top of this page) a new online payment solution from CareCredit, to pay outstanding balances quickly and securely. Special financing options are available.*

APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

We strive to accommodate your schedules with a variety of appointment opportunities and the staff to allow even last minute scheduling, especially for dental concerns. In order to best serve you and keep the cost of dental care down, we work to maintain an efficient appointment system. Diligent efforts are made to confirm appointments as you prefer; with the use of postcards, telephone calls and/or email reminders. Our cost of providing care increases greatly when people fail to keep scheduled appointments or cancel at the last minute. The courtesy, on your part, of at least 48 hours notice will make it possible to give your appointment time to another patient. We understand that emergencies arise and will be as understanding as possible in such a situation. However, we do reserve the right to charge a failed appointment fee of $50 with less than 48 hours notice.
